Scaling is about both ends of the spectrum, i.e., offering low entry barriers to conceive and implement new systems, while supporting high load – high-performance mission-critical systems at the other end. And even more importantly, it is about scaling up from one end of the spectrum to the other. Over the years, we have been scaling up a number of solutions.
- An IoT application monitoring +50.000 home energy installations, polling +20.000 meters/hour over GPRS, and processing +5 million data points on a daily basis.
- A pan-european building management system processing +200.000 messages per day, from which 80% within two 30-minute time spans, with a guaranteed response time below 2 seconds.
- A data hub for energy settlements and clearances with 5000 measurement devices and a clearing of supply/demand on a 4-second basis.
- A dedicated NS Competence Center, developing more than 5000 function points per year, including a system processing all international VAT transactions of the Netherlands.
